👓💔 My old glasses had seen better days.

My old glasses had seen better days. The plastic frames were scratched, slightly bent, and frankly, quite outdated. I'd been yearning for a pair that combined classic style with modern durability – something that wouldn’t feel flimsy or break with a slight mishap. My biggest pain point was finding stylish, yet robust glasses that genuinely complemented my face without costing an arm and a leg at a traditional optician. I wanted a retro, round look, but also something that felt substantial, not just a trendy piece of plastic. I'd heard whispers of fantastic prices online, and like Arthur Poirier, who mentioned, "Great prices and honestly, I don't think I'll ever not buy prescription glasses again online! It's also nice to have a pair of sunglasses that I can 20/20 see out of!", I was starting to believe that buying glasses online could finally offer both value and vision clarity. This growing desire for a perfect, affordable pair led me down the rabbit hole of online eyewear.

My journey led me to Cinily Eyewear. Their website boasted an impressive array of vintage-inspired frames, and the Vintage Titanium Eyeglasses in Style2 T1 immediately caught my eye. The virtual try-on feature was a godsend; I could see exactly how the round frames looked on my face without leaving my home, a feature that Steve Greenbaum also appreciated for his son. However, the ordering process wasn't entirely smooth. I wanted my new glasses quickly, so I opted for what was advertised as "next day delivery" at an additional cost. Days passed, and my "next day" order was nowhere in sight. It was incredibly frustrating. I felt exactly like Michael Oakes, who recounted his similar ordeal: "I ordered twice from them before, without any need to return or exchange, so I never understood the negative reviews. The third time I ordered, their site said 'eligible for next day delivery'. That would typically mean 'next day', right? So, I pay for the $19.95 next day delivery fee, pay for my glasses and hours later receive an email stating that 'my order is in process and will take 3 business days'. Where is next day?" My experience mirrored his – promises of speed were not met, leading to a rather anxious wait for my new frames in early 2025.

When the package finally arrived in late February 2025, after the initial shipping delay, my anticipation was palpable. The packaging itself was utilitarian, nothing overly fancy, but it did the job of protecting the precious cargo inside. As I opened the case, the first thing I noticed was the solid weight of the frames. These weren’t flimsy at all. The titanium had a satisfyingly cool, smooth touch, and the craftsmanship immediately impressed me. The retro round design of the Vintage Titanium Eyeglasses was exactly as pictured online, if not better. They looked sophisticated and perfectly matched the aesthetic I was aiming for. Arthur Poirier's initial satisfaction, albeit with sunglasses, about being able to "20/20 see out of" them after getting a pair, echoed my own hopes for these frames to not just look good, but to perform flawlessly.

In daily use, these glasses have truly shone. The lightweight nature of the titanium means I can wear them all day without any discomfort, a significant improvement over my previous heavier frames. The durability is evident; they feel incredibly sturdy, alleviating my constant worry about accidental bends or breaks. As Nicole Morfa shared, "He was extremely helpful and adjusted my glasses so now they’re perfect. They have great prices! I definitely recommend coming, i will be back for my sunglasses and my other prescription glasses!", my experience with the fit, once I had them adjusted slightly, felt equally "perfect." The lenses, with the anti-reflective and scratch-resistant coatings I opted for, are crystal clear, providing impeccable vision. Denise LeFrancois also highlighted this, stating, "I am happy to report that they sell quality frames and the lenses are superior to what I have gotten at Lens Crafters! And that is saying a lot! I did pay for the water and fingerprint protection coating and it has proven to be a wise choice!" This resonates deeply with my positive experience of the lens quality from Cinily Eyewear. On the flip side, the initial shipping delay, as mentioned earlier, was a significant letdown. My experience resonated with Michael Oakes's frustration: "Order placed 02-18 / Label created 02-20 (not shipped as they stated) / UPS in possession of package 02-21 / Item in transit 02-22 / Item delivered 02-24 / Not “next day delivery” as their site clearly stated." This kind of discrepancy can certainly dampen the excitement of a new purchase. Furthermore, trying to resolve this shipping issue led me down a frustrating path. As Trey W succinctly put it, "The business is pretty much fully automated. When you finally get In touch with someone…They are extremely rude and will end the call when they think it needs to be ended. They can careless. why? Because theres no one eles to talk too in order to file a complaint. I will never do business with Cinily Eyewear again. It’s feel like your being scammed. That feeling of no way to get help." While I wouldn't go as far as "scammed," the automation and difficulty reaching a helpful human was indeed a source of considerable annoyance.

Despite the bumps in the road with shipping and customer service interaction, my overall satisfaction with the Vintage Titanium Eyeglasses themselves is genuinely high. The frames are fantastic quality, stylish, and remarkably comfortable – truly exceeding my expectations in terms of product excellence. Scott Paterson’s sentiment, "Wow, eye exam, two pairs of glasses, all lenses, great customer service, fast service, friendly service, all for ~$250 total! You cannot beat that!", reflects the incredible value that can be found. While my customer service experience wasn't "great," the final product certainly makes up for it. I would definitely recommend these glasses, especially for those who prioritize excellent frame and lens quality at an unbeatable price point, and are prepared for potential delays or less-than-seamless customer support during the ordering process. It’s a trade-off, but for me, the superior product quality of Cinily Eyewear makes it a worthwhile one. Like Arthur Poirier, I can confidently say I'm probably never going back to brick-and-mortar stores for prescription glasses again, purely because of the value and product quality online offers.
